Wood pellets are a sustainable, carbon neutral solution for your domestic energy requirements. As a tree grows, it absorbs carbon dioxide through photosynthesis. When wood is burnt, that CO2 is released back into the atmosphere.
This is known as closed carbon cycle as no new stores of CO2 are being released. When used to generate heat, wood pellets are typically 85% efficient. Other emissions from wood, such as phosphorous and potassium, are low and are left in the small quantities of ash which can be used as fertilizer.
The principle of a pellet boiler is the same as an oil, gas or LPG fueled counterpart and can be integrated into an existing or new central heating system.
Pellet boilers operate using an automated pellet feed system in conjuntion with thermostatic controls to efficiently heat your home and hot water supply. As the system is fully automated, ther is little maintenance involved including fully controlable temperature adjustment, seasonal programming and self cleaning.
